The original title of the work is “Πάγκος με παραδοσιακά αντικείμενα της Κύπρου”. Here’s what the students say about the artefact they created:

 

What is the artwork about?

The artefact is about a market stand that sells traditional Cypriot products (baskets and clay jugs)

Why was it designed in this way?

The students created a market stand because they were influenced by the picturebook we read in lesson 1. They chose to draw traditional products because they brought things like that to school when we talked about the tradition of Cyprus.

Why did the class choose this artwork?

Children chose this work because they considered it very beautiful and because it shows traditional products of Cyprus.

Was it created collaboratively or by one student?

Individual work.

Τι αφορά το πολιτισμικό έργο;

Το πολιτισμικό έργο δείχνει ένα πάγκο που πουλάει κυπριακά παραδοσιακά αντικείμενα (πανέρια και κούζες)

Γιατί σχεδιάστηκε με αυτό τον τρόπο;

Ο πάγκος έγινε γιατί τα παιδιά επηρεάστηκαν από το εικονοβιβλίο που διαβάσαμε και τα παραδοσιακά αντικείμενα είναι αντικείμενα που έφεραν τα ίδια τα παιδιά στο σχολείο όταν μιλήσαμε για την παράδοση της Κύπρου.

Γιατί η τάξη αποφάσισε να επιλέξει το συγκεκριμένο έργο;

Τα παιδιά διάλεξαν αυτή την εργασία γιατί είναι πολύ όμορφη και γιατί παρουσιάζει πράγματα που είχαμε τα παλιά χρόνια στην Κύπρο.
