The DIALLS Multilingual Corpus is an open-access dataset of dialogue in classrooms across seven countries: a valuable resource for researchers, educators, and anyone interested in cultural literacy learning in practice.
The DIALLS Multilingual Corpus is a set of transcripts of classroom interactions of students from ages 5 to 15 years old in seven DIALLS participant countries (UK, Portugal, Germany, Lithuania, Spain, Cyprus, and Israel). The transcripts capture student and teacher interactions and dialogue during lessons from the Cultural Literacy Learning Programme (CLLP) as the CLLP was being piloted during the 2019-2020 school year.
The corpus is a set of 201 transcripts in native regional/country languages (English, Portuguese, German, Lithuanian, Catalan, Greek, and Hebrew), of which 122 are also translated into English.
