The DIALLS project website www.dialls2020.eu is part of an EC Horizon 2020 consortium project led by the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge, 184 Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 8PQ. The University of Cambridge is the data controller for this website.
The DIALLS project is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy covers the website and the mailing list developed by online subscription. It explains when and why we collect your personal information and how we use it and how we keep it secure.
Personal information collected
Cookies
Cookies (small files which sit on your computer and record specific interactions between you and this website, and in some cases, other websites) are not used on the DIALLS website apart from those which remember which page you were on at your last visit.
Analytics
When someone visits www.dialls2020.eu we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. Mailing list
As part of the subscription process for our mailing list, we collect personal information in the form of your name and email address with your consent. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to provide you with the information you’ve signed up to receive and to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; We don’t pass this information to any third party.
We will keep this information until the project ends (April 2021) or until you withdraw your consent, whichever is the earlier.
You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any emails you receive from us.
Contact form
When you contact us through the online form, we collect and store your name and email with your consent. We use this information to reply to your message and it is kept on file until the project ends (April 2021) or until you withdraw your consent, whichever is the earlier.
Personal data of those participating in the project research
We collect and store your personal data, such as name and email, during project implementation with your consent. We keep this information on file for three years after the project ends, ie April 2024, for audit purposes or until you withdraw your consent, whichever is the earlier.
Access to your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Please send us a message via the Contact page if you wish to view or amend or have us delete your data.
Data security
The data from the contact form is stored on the site and data from the mailing list subscription is stored on the MailChimp mailing list manager, both of which conform to GDPR standards. More on MailChimp’s security can be found at: https://mailchimp.com/about/security/
The data of those participating in the project research will be stored on a password protected server at the DIALLS partner institution with whom they are working.
