Dr Françoise Détienne (PhD Cognitive Psychology; Habilitation Psychology) is a Research Professor at the CNRS i3 lab associated to Télécom ParisTech. After a two year postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University in the AI Department, she joined INRIA-Rocquencourt in 1989 where she headed the research team Eiffel «Cognition and Cooperation in Design». Her research interests concern technology-mediated collaboration, collective work, quality of collaboration, communities of practices, methodologies for assessing groupware. Her publications include two books and around 160 scientific papers. She is an associated editor of the International Journal of Human Computer Studies and Interacting with Computers.
Within the DIALLS project, she is co-responsible (with Michael Baker) for the Online platform for cultural literacy learning (WP6).
