Elisabeth Mayweg-Paus, Ph.D. in Psychology (2011) and postdoctoral habilitation in Psychology (2018), is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Educational Sciences at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Previously, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre of Higher Education at the University of Münster. Her research addresses students’ successful learning and skill development in online learning environments of higher education. In particular, she investigates how to foster students’ acquisition of skills (e.g., how to argue and think critically) by focusing on the special aspects of teaching and learning in online learning environments. She is well experienced in designing experimental investigations as well as in analysing data on a qualitative and quantitative level. Since 2008, she has presented her research in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences such as ICLS, EARLI or STD. In her teaching, she mainly works with pre-service teachers, which enables her to applicate her experiences with the trainings of teachers into DIALLS. In DIALLS she is a co-investigator and with her expertise she will achieve the sustainable access and benefit of DIALLS by enabling teachers to (re-)use the resources of DIALLS.
