Christiana P. Karousiou

Christiana P. Karousiou has been awarded a PhD in Education from the School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED) at the University of Manchester in 2013 and is currently working as a Lecturer at the University of Nicosia in the Department of Education. She holds two master’s degrees, in Educational Research (MSc) and in Educational Leadership and School Improvement (MEd). Her research interests include educational policy with a particular emphasis upon teachers’ continuing professional development, teachers’ professional identities, school improvement and qualitative research methods. She was the keynote speaker in pedagogical seminars and she presented work related to her research interests in academic journals and conferences. She has participated and coordinated European Projects such as the iLearnGreek, InterCap, Lifelong Readers 2.0, etc. 

Her role in DIALLS involves working with in-service pre-primary and primary school teachers to prepare cultural literacy activities for younger students (WP3).
