Elisabeth Mayweg-Paus, Ph.D. in Psychology (2011) and postdoctoral habilitation in Psychology (2018), is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Educational Sciences at the Humboldt University Berlin. Previously, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre of Higher Education at the University of Münster. Her research addresses the role of communication for students’ successful learning in higher education. In particular, she investigates how to foster students’ development of (digital) skills (e.g., searching, evaluating and critical processing of online information) by focusing on the specific aspects of teaching and learning in online contexts. She is well experienced in designing experimental investigations as well as in analysing data on a qualitative and quantitative level. Since 2008, she has presented her research in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences such as ICLS, EARLI or STD. In her teaching, she mainly works with pre-service teachers, which enables her to applicate her experiences with the trainings of teachers into DIALLS. In DIALLS she is a principal investigator and with her expertise she will achieve the sustainable access and benefit of DIALLS by enabling teachers to (re-)use the resources of DIALLS.
