What is the artwork about?
The artefact represents solidarity with others, and the protection of the oceans.
Why was it designed in this way?
The first vignette talks about the squid that is trapped in the fishing net, and the squid is sad. The second vignette talks about the children cutting the fishing net, and the squid felt happy. The third vignette talks about the animals taking the squid to the sea, and the squid felt very happy.
Why did the class choose this artwork?
The subject of solidarity and the protection of the oceans has been worked in this class for the past three years, and this cultural text has made it possible to reinforce these same values.
