What is the artwork about?

Freedom, civil responsibility of graffiti artists.

Why was it designed in this way?

Colourful text on grey background → stands out, „graffiti“ type. The student didn‘t find any public graffiti in his village during corona, so he designed one himself.

Why did the class choose this artwork?

During the discussion, the class talked about aesthetic beauty, about the abilities of the artist, and as such about public responsibility. They did not accept „defacing scribbling“ and also wanted to see a careful choice of place for graffiti. This they saw represented in the artefact.

Was it created collaboratively or by one student?

Because corona was already around, students worked alone, as in the case of this artefact.

Warum hat die Klasse dieses Werk ausgewählt?

In der Diskussion ging es der Klasse um ästhetische Schönheit, um das Können des Artkünstlers, und somit um die Verantwortung in der Öffentlichkeit. Sie akzeptierten keine „Schmierereien“ und wollen auch den Ort des Graffiti sinnvoll gewählt sehen. Dies sehen sie im gewählten Artefakt repräsentiert.

Wurde es in Gruppen- oder Einzelarbeit erstellt?

Da Corona schon „herrschte“ gab es Einzelaufträge, wovon dies eine Arbeit ist.
