A little monkey in a jungle has his eye on a huge bunch of bananas, but no matter what he does, he cannot reach it. When a big monkey succeeds where he has failed, all seems lost, but then a gorilla appears to make things even more complicated. The three animals debate over how to divide the banana. Through using his cunning, the first monkey manages to ensure he gets a decent amount to eat, while conflict is avoided. In this vibrant, cheerful short film by French creator Pascale Hecquet children will be able to enter dialogue about justice, fairness, and equality through the debate between the three animals. To add a theme of sustainable development/climate change, this film could be used as an extension of Where is the Elephant? by Barroux.
