Work Package 3

Design and implementation of the Cultural Literacy Learning Programme (CLLP)

December 2018 – June 2020

Once the Cultural Texts are identified in WP2, a small subset of teachers will work collaboratively with researchers to develop a set of meaningful pedagogic activities stemming from them – the CLLP. After the design phase of the CLLP, all participant teachers will be trained and supported to implement the programme. The objectives of WP3 are to:

  • successfully recruit and train teachers to develop the CLLP, pilot the resources and online platform and then implement the programme
  • create a 15 week CLLP with activities for pre-primary (5 to 6 year olds), primary (8 to 9 year olds) and secondary (14 to 15 year olds)
  • provide professional development for teachers to enable them to lead dialogue and argumentation sessions in their classes, but also to encourage ownership of resources to adapt and transform them
  • implement the programme across 7 different countries, matching classes in and across countries for online dialogic engagement.
