What is the artwork about?

Social responsibility and civic competences.

Why was it designed in this way?

The purpose was to create a 3D city that would show that each person has their specific role in society. Each student created the different elements of the city (houses, hospitals, petrol bomb…), and some figures in plasticine, which represent the different professions supporting the community. It was an option assumed by all the students and teachers of the two classes, who were performing synchronous sessions. Since it was the first synchronous session between the groups, we decided to work together on two DIALLS cities.

Why did the class choose this artwork?

Because this was the favourite project of all the students, and to which they dedicated the most time. The DIALLS city continued to be created until the end of the school year, as more and more ideas were coming up to complement it. This theme was also one of the students’ favourite. The sense of belonging to a community, in this grouping of schools TEIP (governmental social inclusion project in school context), makes even more sense for these children.

Collaboratively, everyone contributed.

Sobre o que é o artefacto?

Civismo e responsabilidade social.

Porque foi criado deste modo?

O objectivo foi criar uma cidade 3D que demonstre que cada pessoa tem o seu papel a desempenhar na sociedade. Cada aluno criou os elementos da cidade (casas, hospitais, bom de gasolina,…) e também algumas figuras em plasticina, que representam as diferentes profissões de suporte à comunidade. Porque foi uma opção tomada por todos os alunos e professoras das duas turmas, que se encontravam a efetuar aulas síncronas. Visto ser a primeira aula síncrona entre os grupos, decidimos, em conjunto, elaborar duas cidades DIALLS.

Porque foi este o artefacto escolhido pela turma?

Porque este foi o projeto preferido de todos os alunos e ao qual dedicaram mais tempo. A cidade DIALLS continuou a ser criada até ao fim do ano letivo, pois iam sempre surgindo mais ideias para a complementar. Esta temática também foi das preferidas dos alunos. O sentido de pertença a uma comunidade, neste agrupamento de escolas TEIP (programa de inclusão social em contexto escolar), faz ainda mais sentido para estes alunos.

Foi um artefacto produzido conjuntamente, todos os alunos participaram.
