Susana Trovão (Ph.D. Universidade Nova, Lisboa, 1994) works as a full professor of Anthropology at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. The areas of expertise she currently lectures and investigates in comprise Migrations, Inter-ethnic Relations and Transnationalism. She has published on international peer-reviewed journals, such as Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Culture & Psychology, Gender, Place & Culture, Social Identities, Journal of Women’s Studies, and Journal of Family Issues. Her main publications include books such as Transnational Movements and Affiliations (2012), Migrant Family Dynamics and Civic Participation (2010), Different Children of Different Gods: Uses of Religion and Social Integration (2006), and From Mozambique to Portugal: Hinduism Reconstructed (2001).
