What is the artwork about?
The pupils were hooked by the film and it prompted a lot of discussion from a range of pupils – both those who often shared their opinions and those who rarely did so – about how all parts of society are important in different ways. The children made their own decisions about who to represent and how to model them, then created a shared pieces of writing describing their designs.
Why was it designed in this way?
Plasticine was a suggested artefact to go with the activity, and the children suggested writing their thoughts on paper that they had established on whiteboards previously.
